Trans women are women. Full Stop.

Do I have to be an artist to join?

No way! We are often creatively centered, but we believe this encompasses a broad range of interests. About half of our members are professionals and entrepreneurs using the space to work remotely.
We promise, you qualify.

Are you wheelchair/stroller accessible?

Yes, the building and bathrooms are ADA compliant

Are your events kid-friendly?

Part of Avalon North’s mission is to work against age division. A subset of that is our wish to engage mothers with children in tow, as we feel much of American society prefers mothers with children to stay at home or confine themselves to the Mcdonald's ball pit. We will actively fight against this compartmentalization of motherhood.
We also believe it is vital that children of all genders come to know the comfort and wisdom of their female elders.

Our Child Welcoming Policy is as follows:

  • As a community, we seek to find the balance between making space for mothers while also making space for mothers and our community to enjoy grown-up time without them.

    1. Use your best judgment. A good rule of thumb is to bring them occasionally for fun and always if you need.

    2. Children need to be quiet and contained during Co-work hours M-F 9-5

    3. Infants are always welcome at all times without exception.

    4. Mildly to Extremely well-behaved Children of all genders under 18 are welcome at all events, (unless otherwise noted in the case of certain adult topics)

    5. If your child walks a fine line between badly and mildly well behaved (as they all have at certain points in their lives, feel free to come and try, and if you have to take the little darling home, there will be no judgment and you will be reimbursed the cost of your admittance)

    6. At paid events Children under 14 are free with an adult ticket

    7. If the event is not geared specifically for children, please be aware that this is an adult women’s club and adults will be speaking freely and sometimes swears happen. We welcome and adore children, but we do not give them thrones

    8. If they can walk, they need to wash their hands immediately upon entry

How old do you have to be to join?

Am I too old to join?
